DOORS Integration

It is very common that suppliers and customers are using different requirement tools or even different departments of the very same company. To make the requirements interchange easier on these heterogenic environment, IRQA provides an integration with IBM Rational DOORS.

This integration allows to export and import requirement along with their blocks (or modules), attributes, traces, etc. to a neutral format, XRI (an XML format created by Visure for requirements interchange). This integration allows also to import or export these XRI files to DOORS so the complete trip between IRQA and DOORS (and the other way around) can be completed, allowing to work with the same requirements in both tools and also synchronizing changes between them.

The integration comes also with a complete change management mechanism that allows to detect changes when importing the requirements into IRQA or DOORS so the data contained in these tools is not overwritten but a complete report with the changes is generated and then, users, may decide if they update or not.

Sparx Enterprise Architect Integration

Through this integration it is possible to send to EA the IRQA requirements used during the analysis step and take them as the starting point for modelling and design. Rational Software Architect and Rational Software Modeler Integration

This integration covers the communications needs between analysis (requirements, use cases, etc) and modelling and design elements through an eclipse plugin (platform supported by Rational) that is divided into two different modules.

The first of this modules (common for RSA and RSM) allows to send to Rational IRQA requirements so users may work with them into the IBM tool and also trace them with design’s use cases.

The second module (only available for RSM) allows to export to IRQA different design and modelling elements (like classes, activities, activity diagrams, etc) so they can be traced later with analysis elements (like requirements) switching IRQA into a complete traceability centre.

HP Quality Center Integration

The new extended integration between IRQA and HP Quality Center 9, 9.2 and 10, makes the most of your process, creating a seamless flow of information between both tools. Users will be able to focus on their activities, with their own toolset while benefiting from the results of the other activities in the lifecycle.

This new integration supports several integration points:

• Export from IRQA to HP Quality Center: 

1. Users can create Requirements in IRQA and export them to HP Quality Center in order to define the corresponding Test Cases.

2. User can create Requirements, and derive services from them in IRQA. These services, and their traceability with Requirements can also be exported to HP Quality Center in order to define the corresponding Test Cases from the Use Cases.

3. If services, with their corresponding flows are derived from Requirements, a first draft of functional tests can be easily defined out of those main and alternative flows. This initial set of Test Cases and their traceability with services and Requirements can be exported to HP Quality Center in order to complete the tests. 

• Import from HP Quality Center into IRQA: 

1. Test Cases can be imported back into IRQA along with the traceability established in HP Quality Center with Requirements and Use Cases. The Test Cases synchronization allows bringing at any given moment, the results of the Test Cases back into IRQA for impact analysis.

MS Project Integration

Description:
The purpose of this integration is to help users transform their requirements, services and test scenarios into MS Project tasks, plan them, and be able to work with them. On the other hand, the user will be able to bring the MS Project tasks into IRQA in form of requirements, services and test scenarios. Additionally, attributes from IRQA can also be mapped to MS Project fields and MS Project fields (i.e. state of the task, duration…) can be mapped to IRQA attributes.
